This easy hike takes us from Port des Canonge where we will leave the car up to near
the village of Banyalbufar, returning to Port des Canonge by Ses Planes.
The walk begins at the car park of Port des Canonge,
by a trail that initially goes along the coast.
The trail takes us shortly to Son Bunyola stone beach
Later the trail becomes a track that ascends along the pine
forest with some good viewpoints of the coast
After a little more than one hour we get closer to the road from
Valldemossa to Banyalbufar from where we get beautiful views of the village and its
little port.
From there, instead or going back by the same track we take and alternative route that goes
by a steep trail up to Ses Planes. Sometimes it is not possible to
clearly distinguish the trail and the use of a GPS is recommended from here on.
Continuing by Ses Planes heights there is an old military observatory
The walks continues toward the north east offering several spots with impressive
views of the coast.
After passing by an abandoned TV repeater the descend is very
steep until intercepting the track we walked at the beginning of the hike. From there we get
back easily to Port des Canonge
